No wizard

The strumming, the strumming it is killing me. I got everything else but the strumming. I want to get that part down so I can make a video and show you guys how much better I have gotten. Myy new Dean guitar is nice. Alot harder to play than my strat. The neck is wider and is alot heavier. but it is a better guitar than my 2 others. Better sound and it stays in tune. Plus it looks cool. I like my red strat because it looks like Pete's but it is not that well made. It goes out of tune all the time. Maybe I will just make a video anyways even though that part is not write.

This one is particularly tricky because it's so rythmic. Make sure it is an open B and A that you are playing (leave the E and B strings open instead of trying to bar the B and A chord with index finger) This gives it a nice jangly sound.

The other thing you might try is just practice the strumming while dampening the strings. I remember I was trying to hold the chord while trying to pull off the strum pattern at same time and very difficult, but once I figured out the rythm of the strum, the chords came and I found myself not thinking about the strum. The strum on this one has dominant down strums followed by dominant up strums. I'm sure you will master this one if you keep at it.

Isn't guitar the most amazing instrument to learn. I'm fumbling my way through trying to play Slit Skirts on piano, and am really struggling to make the chord transitions smooth, so I can relate.
