upcoming projects

Hi everyone,

First I want to thank all of you who commented on my last post and being so honest. That is what I love about you guys. My dad says I have been spending to much time on the computer (and I have) so he is cutting me back. I will still be able to come on this blog but I was spending hours on other stuff. So here is my list of upcoming projects. Still in the works I will be playing with Gary Cherone on Dec. 23 at Faniuel Hall in Boston at the Hard Rock Cafe. He has Who tribute band called SLIPKID. Hopefully i will be playng with him. Next is a pl;ay at umass dartmouth called rosencrantz and gilderstern are dead. I am playing alfred. I did a cold reading and got the part. What luck. In februaury I will have my a radio show for 10 minutes on umas dartmouth radio. It is 89.3 fm in our area. I think it is on the internet and I will fing the link. I will be playing a classical piece. I will also be checking into your blogs daily to keep up with your lives.

Bullet Proof Car The who Cant Explain

Well the show went real well. The band sounded awesome. That was so much fun. I hope we can something again real soon. We shot some video. They forgot to mike the rest of the band. So my little brother filled in the vocals. He got it pretty well. Please check it out and tell me what you think. I want an honest opinion.

My WhO Room

My dad has started on my room. This is over my bed. Dad still has to put the words Quadrophenia in it. on my other wall dad is painting a huge union jack. He's awesome.

Huskies

These are our huskies. Odin is pure white and Nikita is brown. They are our dogs . Odin just turned 2 and he loves to pull sled. Nikita is 9 month and she is a love. Sammy who is sitting next to me will be taking dogsled lessons after thanksgiving. They only listen to dad. They do just what he says. They are AKC dogs which means they have papers. I guess that is good.

Practise day

This afternoon I finally get to jam withha full band. This will be my first time with a drummer and a bass player. I just hope i do well. My dad is going to take some video hopefully and i will post some up if anybody is interested. These are good friends of mine and we have been to london together and seen 2 Who shows together. They are very special people to me. And it is real nice of them to give there time up for me. I just hope i dont let them down.

Umass Dartmouth opening pre show

Well it was a good nite, i made 1 mistake at the end of the song but I playede through it so it was not so bad. I will not make a mistake tonite. I started with the opening licks to communication breakdown by zep and then went into brain stew by greenday. The crowd really seemed to be into it. At this point I cant see me doing anything else but getting on stage everynite and performing whern i get older. THere is nothing better than applause and people screaming out your name when your performing. I will post videos and photos some time later today. By the way the new guitar is killer I just love it thanks dad for making me shine.

guitar collection

My guitar collection is growing a little bigger today. I am going to get an ibanez.Its like my hero steve vai but no cut-out. I hope it is going to be white. This will be my last guitar for hopefully iw ill go to a full sized one in about 4 years. So I will rock umass dartmouth with my new guitar.

First rehearsal at umass

They had me cranked to concert level last nite in the auditorium. It sounded great i must say. My 5 year old brother came up and sang with me he is hilaroius.He knows the words but his timing out. But we all laughed and had fun. I had some malfunctuins with my dean but my dad brought a backup guitar and all is well. He just has to look at the dean to get it fixed for next friday.

off to connecticut

Sammy and dad and I are going to connecticut to see grammy and poppy. We are going to cut some trees and help them because they are old.It is a long trip about 3 hours i think and i cant stand bieing in the truck that long.Will be coming home tomorrow afternoon. dad says we are going to see people put pumkins in a catapult and throw them far. That should be kinda cool. I am taking my guitar with me so i can practice. I got cant explain down pretty good. even the solos which are quite hard because you need to play them fast. dad is going to start on my room next week. cant wait to see what he is going to do. I told him waht i wanted and he said that is fine so my room should be a like the hard rock cafe i hope. I just need to get a guitar signed from Pete so i can hang it. I would like my red strat with the new pickguard signed on the headstock. I would by a new strat. well off to grammy and poppys.

Life is good as my dad would say pete now has a blog and we can all talk to him again. I got up real early this morning i was just excited to see pete back on the internet. I could not sleep all nite.

Sunday jam

I have a friend coming over on sunday. He goes to umass dartmouth and was Tommy in the play. Joe is an excellent musician and we will be playing "Cant explain" in the Variety show. So this will be the first time we get together cant wait to see how it is going to sound. I saw the pendant that Pete is selling on ebay. I would love to have that hanging around my neck. But I dont have the money. Very cool smashed guitar and his initials. I am going to ask Santa to get that for me. But probably wont. Dad says Santa is cutting back thias year because of the ceononmy whatever that means i am only 8 so i guess that means less presents. ouch.

Rocky Horror Picture show

Well did not make it in the play but I am going to be the warmup act before the play starts. I am going to play a JET song called "are you going to be my girl". I like this song I think it will be cool. It is very fast moving song. Hope I can learn it in time. I am going to ask my next door neighbo Jay if he can drum for me. I need to get a bass player. Maybe I can call Stu Hamm. We jammed together.

The guitar festival

Sunday morning we left for a guiat show at the bayside expo center near Boston. Me and my dad and my dads friends Dave, who by he way is a great bass player. We got there at 9:30 and registered and just hung out. I pulled out my guitar and played some songs for the crowd outside. They enjoyed it. I met up with some guys my age and we were trading some songs and just jamming together. We went in finally and you should have seen all of the guitars. AWESOME. I went to some clinics and learned alot of stuff ffrom a lot of cool people. They taught me some great scales and I got to try out some cool amps and effects. But the highlite of the day was jumping on stage and playing with Stu hamm. We ripped out some who tunes and everybody was enjoying themselves. What a day , thanks dad.

First week of school

Well the first week went by quickly. Everything is good. I have a great teacher and new classmates. I am auditioning for Rocky Horro Picture Showe at Umass Dartmouth. Cant wait to see some of the old gang. I miss them. Then its on to the variety show in October.Gottta practice my chops. I am also going to a guitar clinic in Boston. I will get to jam with Stu Hamm. Cant wait. My new pickguard looks cool. I am such a lucky kid.

School on Wednesday

Yes school starts on Wednesday 8/29. Cant wait to see some of my friends. Was a good summer lots of toime at the beach. Will be playing in the 20 cent fiction variety show with a friend, We are doing a WHO song. Cant explain. And them I thinkl I am doing a solo performance of Greendays "when I come around" or maybe "basket case". I am not sure yet. It is in November not sure of the date yet. Will keep you posted.

Summer is flyiN by school starts soon

School starts soon cant wait. My little brother Sam starts kindergarten also. He all excited. I am going to a carnival on saturday and also get too see a big firemans parade. This is were my dad grew up and we walk down to the field were they have it and ride on the rides.Alot of fun. We will get to swim in the pool and eat lots of food.My guitar pl;aying is getting better and better as each week goes by. I now know a full song. When I come around by Greenday. I can play that song all the way thru. I just dont know the words yet. I am working on iron man by black sabbath. I know alot of that know. May be time for some new video.

Summer on Cape Cod

Hi all,

I have not posted in a while. I am at the beach 3 days a week taking swim lessons. And then I have my music lessons 2 times a week and the other I am just playing. Nothibng really much to report just hanging out with friends and family. No concerts yet this year. I hope we can make it to one.

REPORT CARD

GOT MY REPORT CARD TODAY. OUT OF 36 CATEGORIES I GOT 29 A'S AND 7 B'S. I MISS SCHOOL. I HOPE I WIN THAT CONTEST TO SEE THE WHO IN FINDLAND. THAT WOULD BE SO COOL. JUST ME AND MY DAD. I WOULD BRING MY STRAT AND HAVE PETE SIGN IT AND ROGER SIGN IT AND THEN THE WHOLE BAND. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET SIMON AND PINO AND ZAK AND RABBIT AND JUST HANG OUT AND TALK MUSIC. HOPE THEY SAY WHEN THE WINNER IS SOON.

no school

I am no longer in school my last day was wednesday. I now have the summer and i have been double practising my guitar. once in the morning and then in the afternoon. Sunday is fathers day. My dad is the coolest dad you would ever meet. he takes me everywhere and does everything with me and also my brother. He is going to play drums. We are going to see a blues guitar player on sunday who is awesome my dad says. He kind of plays like hendrix. My dad knows guitar players. He has been to many concerts. I will let you know what i think of this guy.

tommy review

This is my review of the tommy play they did not like it that much. I thought it was pretty awesome. How can you not like a play that has WHO music. I was not too happy that they did not like it but that is there oopinion.

Tommy 3 and 4

The fun hasnt wore off me yet. This is the most fun I have ever had except when I was front row in front of Pete Townshend. It is like a feeling i have never felt before. Playing in front of people is so much fun and then the applause after and them shouting your name is fantastic. I had so mcuh fun with all of my cast members and tech crew. They made the whole thing worth while. They were all so helpful and nice to me. I wish it never ended. I hope they stay in touch with me and we can see each other. I know they are much older and they have other things to do but this is something that i will have the rest of my life.

TOMMY NITE 1 AND 2

WELL THE FIRST 2 NITES ARE OVER. I AM HAVING A GREAT TIME. THIS IS THE COOLEST. THE FIRST NITE EVERYONE WAS NERVOUS. I WASNT I JUST WANTED TO HAVE FUN AND I DID. WE HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH THE SCENES AND IT DID NOT GO WELL. MY PART WAS FINE BECAUSE I KNEW WHAT TO DO BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE MISSED THEIR CUES. BUT THATS OK. THE 2ND NITE WAS REALLY REALLY GOOD. 8 years old

Hey All,

I just entered the WHO's Fly away contest. I hope I win. I submitted three pictures. One at the Boston concert and one holding the Tommy flyer and the other jumping in the air like Pete. I know I wont win because why would they pick and 8 year old? They are going to pick somebody who is alot older. I am just going to have to live with the fact i will never get to meet Pete or Roger. And I cant blame them what would they have in common with me except that we all love music. Oh well that is the way it goes. Hope eveyone is feeling great and my new saying is Practise does not make perfect it makes it permanent.

4 days of Tommy practise

Hi all,

Just an update, have not heard from Pete, oh well it was worth a shot. Second I am now at Tommy practice 4 days a week sunday,monday,wednesday and thursday. We are going to work on blocking. Whatever that means. I am also practising my guitar a lot and will posting a video this weekend. This way I can track my progress. THe guy who is playing Tommy plays guitar and he and I get there a half hour before practice and bring our guitars and jam. It is so cool. He likes the same stuff I do. Hope everybody is well. Pete Please help

Hi all,

Well things are going real well with the show. I am off the book and have learned my lines and songs. I am so psyched about this show. I would like to ask you Pete if I send you some Tommy cd,s can you sign them. I would like this to be my contribution to the play. They could really use the money and we can raffle those cd's off and use the money for other plays. I hope you read this and think about it. I am playing 4 year old Tommy in the play. I know you are very busy with other things but I think this would be a great way to keep this company going. Thanks Pete -I love you and I continue to keep practising.

No wizard

The strumming, the strumming it is killing me. I got everything else but the strumming. I want to get that part down so I can make a video and show you guys how much better I have gotten. Myy new Dean guitar is nice. Alot harder to play than my strat. The neck is wider and is alot heavier. but it is a better guitar than my 2 others. Better sound and it stays in tune. Plus it looks cool. I like my red strat because it looks like Pete's but it is not that well made. It goes out of tune all the time. Maybe I will just make a video anyways even though that part is not write.

pinball wizard

Well I have the beginning down pretty good. I have a lot of problem strumming that fast part. I am getting frustrated. I have learned green day's when I come around. just have to learn the solo part.I cant believe I can play songs now. I wish I could get a lesson from Pete.

It is starting to sound like Pinball wizard. I am having a hard time getting my thumb around the top of the neck when i get into the strumming part. My teacher is pretty happy with it and says it is coming along nicely. He is a really great teacher. When he plays it sounds just like Pete.

Tuesday Guitar lesson

I have the beginning of Pinball wizard down pretty good. I have been practising everyday for hours. My fingers are so sore. I hope to be good enough to get into the band for the play. My dad is going to pick up the tab for guitar.

I am learning Pinball wizard with my guitar teacher. They will let me play it in the band in the pit if I can learn it. It is very hard because you have to strum very fast.
